Haystack Rock is on of Coastal Oregon's landmark scenes, standing 235 ft (72 m) out of the water. An important natural fixture, the rock is the home to numerous species of sea life, from birds to barnacles. Guides are available at times to teach visitors about the ecological importance of the rock, which is found in Cannon Beach.
